The Minnesota SNAP Program (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) has increased the program’s income limit starting Sept. 1st.
The change was approved by the Minnesota Legislature during the 2022 session. For most households, the monthly income limit will rise to 200% of the federal poverty line, up from 165%. Under the new limit, a family of three with an annual income of up to about $46,000 before taxes will be eligible. The change won’t increase the amount of assistance per family but will make it available to more people. For SNAP and other public assistance programs, click here. |
