2014-2015 Funded Mini-Grants
Farm Market Cafe, LLC has been a partner working on SHIP initiatives since 2014.
- Through a grant from Partners in Healthy Living, Farm Market Café is providing trainings for the general public on food preservation and partnering with the University of Minnesota Extension’s SNAP-Ed program on classes about Eating Well In-Season. These classes began on November 18 and continue throughout 2015. These classes increase access and consumption of healthy foods.
Cambridge-Isanti High School has been a partner working on SHIP initiatives since 2014.
• The Cambridge-Isanti High School’s Giving Garden since its creation has donated 1,000 pounds of food to the local food shelf, WIC and the High School’s Family & Consumer Science Department (“FACS”). The Giving Garden’s partners include SACS, the Lions Club, Cambridge-Isanti FACS, Summer Special Education, Isanti Special Education and Isanti County Public Health.
Isanti County has been a partner working on SHIP initiatives since 2013.
- Isanti County is currently developing a Trail and Master Plan.
